Department of Electronic Chemistry

Department of Electronic Chemistry was restructured on April, 1997. Our department primarily focuses on the behavior of electrons and atomic electronic states, molecules, and condensed matter. Our department is currently linked with Sagami Chemical Research Center and The Institute of Physical Chemical Research (RIKEN). Courses offered in our department include a wide range of chemistry based classes including photo electrochemistry, solid state physical chemistry, molecular dynamics, physical electrochemistry, organic electrochemistry, computer chemistry, molecular photo spectroscopy, organic synthesis, catalytic chemistry, polymer chemistry, biochemistry, organometalic chemistry, and crystal chemistry. In our department, students are encouraged to develop their creativity and to work actively in fields related to fundamental and applied chemistry. Our department offers both master and doctor degrees in either science or engineering depending on the student's choice.
